WE BELIEVE…

That Jesus is God

He is the maker of all creation; the all-knowing, all-powerful, everywhere-present, eternal God; the source of all goodness, truth, and love; who has manifested himself to mankind as the Father of all things by creation, as the Son in redemption, and as the Holy Ghost for the purpose of regeneration in the lives of humanity. He is the First and the Last, and beside Him, there is no God. There was no God formed before Him; neither shall be there any after Him. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 43:10, Isaiah 44:6, II Corinthians 13:14, I Timothy 1:17; 3:16; 6:13-16)

In the Plan of Salvation

That it was proclaimed on the Day of Pentecost on the birthday of the New Testament church, which includes faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, sincere repentance (death), water baptism (burial) by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost (resurrection)which is evidenced by speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance. (Matt. 28:19; Acts 2:1-39; 10:44-48; and Acts 19:1-7)

In the inspired word of God

The original manuscripts of the Old and New Testaments of the Bible are the inspired Word of God given through people. hey contain a true history of the creation of heaven, earth, and humanity and proclaim a correct prophecy of the ages to come. Thus the Scriptures we possess today are the sufficient rule of faith and practice and the final authority for truth and salvation. (II Timothy 3:16 and II Peter 1:20-21)

In living a life of holiness

Both inwardly and outwardly, as a result of the working of God’s grace in us. The scriptures admonish us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; (Titus 2:12) thus each person is led by the spirit to become more like Christ out of their love for him. The Word of the Lord declares that all who name the name of Christ should depart from sin and separate themselves from the evil practices of this present age. (Ephesians 4:21-24; II Timothy 2:19; and Hebrews 12:14)

In the gospel of Jesus Christ

The gospel declares Him to be the only begotten Son of God, who was born of a virgin and who lived to show us the words and works of God. Jesus is the Son of God according to the flesh (Romans 1:3) and the very God Himself according to the Spirit (Matthew 1:23). Jesus is the Christ (Matthew 16:16); the creator of all things (Colossians 1:16- 17); God with us (Matthew 1:23); God made flesh (John 1:1-14); God manifested in the flesh (I Timothy 3:16); He which was, which is, and which is to come, the Almighty (Revelation 1:8); the mighty God, everlasting Father, and Prince of peace (Isaiah 9:6).

In Loving Like Christ

By practicing genuine Christianity, through love for God and people, prayer, obedience to the Word of God, heartfelt worship and expressive praise, sharing our faith, commitment to our marriage companions and families, availability to help one another in time of need, honesty and diligence in our employment, honor, and respect for our government as it submits to the divine plan for human society, and the dedication of our time, talent, and treasure to advance of the kingdom of God on earth. (Romans 12-13 and Colossians 3-4)
