Pastor DeMarlon Nixon
Pastor DeMarlon J. Nixon was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost at 14, while attending the UPCI Louisiana District Camp Meeting in Tioga, Lousiana. Shortly after, he was baptized in Jesus' name. At 18, he accepted his call to preach the Gospel. He began working in the ministry under the leadership of Lionel J. Thierry Sr., Pastor of Mossville Truth Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church in Lake Charles, LA (www.mttupc.org) and Presbyter-at-Large with the Louisiana District. Pastor Nixon's ministry was built on a solid foundation, "the Word of God," and a Spirit of Excellence.
Pastor Nixon has held several positions while working in the ministry, such as Youth Leader, Sunday School Director and Teacher, Outreach Leader, Minister’s Department Leader, Prayer Chairman, Media Ministry, Assistant Pastor, and Associate Pastor.
Additionally, Pastor Nixon is an ordained minister of the Gospel with the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI) (www.upci.org) and has had extensive training through the Evangelical Training Association (ETA) as an evangelist.
God has blessed Pastor Nixon with a beautiful wife, Lady Katrina W. Nixon, who works alongside him in the ministry and is a remarkable evangelist, teacher, and singer in her own right. The Nixons have one daughter, Kyrstin Nixon, who loves to pray, testify, praise God in dance, and play the drums for services. One son, Kaleb Nixon, already has the Glory of God upon him and will do mighty works for the kingdom of God.
Lady Katrina W. Nixon received the Holy Ghost at 17 and, shortly after, was baptized in Jesus' name. She has served as a Youth Coordinator, Sunday School Teacher, and, along with her husband, as Outreach and Media Ministry Leaders. She resides in Austin, TX, with her husband and two children. She serves as Praise Team Leader, Sunday School Teacher, and Women's Department Director at Freedom Temple Pentecostal Church under her husband, Pastor DeMarlon J. Nixon.
Additionally, Lady Katrina Nixon is a licensed minister of the Gospel with the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI) (www.upci.org). Lady Nixon holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and an Associate's Degree in Computer Programming. She also serves as an Evangelist and desires to win souls and restore lives. She is proclaiming to all that Jesus is the ultimate Chain Breaker!

THE CALL TO MINISTRY
In 2006, the Nixons founded Chain Breaker Ministries - “an evangelistic outreach ministry." Through prayer meetings, Bible studies, and revival services, their ministry reached right into the hearts of communities and homes of people. Chain Breaker Ministries supplied a great deal of support, training, and mentoring to many pastors and ministries within Kenya, Africa, and surrounding regions.
Under the leadership of Pastor Aaron and Lady Vonnie Lopez of Eastwood United Pentecostal Church (Lake Charles, LA), the Nixons were considered for the pastorate of a church in Austin, Texas. In 2012, the Nixons were officially elected to the Pastorate of Freedom Temple Pentecostal Church. On December 30, 2012, Freedom Temple became a proper “daughter church” of Eastwood Pentecostal Church. Pastor and Lady Nixon currently reside in Austin, TX, where they actively serve the Freedom Temple Pentecostal Church congregation while operating in the evangelistic field.
